From Australia – August 11th, Saturday. Day 14
“Hello Goodbye” with “All My Loving”
The morning has come when we have to say, “Good Bye”. Beautiful, fine and sunny morning as usual but the atmosphere is quite different because we know we have to go back to Japan today. We pack up our suitcases with our wonderful memories of being here. And we have to go forward with so many tears. That’s the way of life.
This is the summary of the thanks you speech from Otsuma Nakano:
On behalf of Otsuna Nakano, it is my great pleasure to have an opportunity to make thank you speech at this wonderful Farewell Party at such a prestigious place.
First of all, I would like to express our respect and gratitude to St Andrews principal, and Assistant to Principal for giving us the opportunity to visit and stay in St. Andrews. And I want to say thank you from the bottom of our heart to School Coordinator, giving us fantastic hospitality and all of St. Andrews Staff for taking special care of our students.
And again I want to say thank you to hosting parents and sisters. Thanks to your support and hospitality, our Japanese Students can spend wonderful time here.
The students staying here for 2 weeks have had really precious experience we have never had in Tokyo. Some students say the beauty of the night sky with so many stars even shooting stars is beyond description. It’s incredible. That might be the first time to see the real night sky in her whole life.
Of course, the most valuable experience is to communicate with hosting parents and sisters. Sometimes there might be difficulty in communicating with each other. But we can get over it. Such experiences make us understand each other and get more closed.
Well now, the time has come! We are now in mixed emotion. We are very happy because we have known each other, and we are very sad because we have to say good bye to you. We left our heart in Cairns. So we’ve got to come back here to take our heart once again. We don’t forget the wonderful experience we have had here forever.
I have learned the words in St. Andrews Year Book
“ Honouring the Past, Inhabiting the Present, Imagining the Future”
Let’s get it started to imagine our future!
