ターム留学レポート②_From St. Andrew’s

本校オーストラリア姉妹校・セントアンドリュースカレッジに留学中の高校1年生_片山みらいさんから、留学レポート第2弾が届きました。すっかりオージーライフにも慣れ、セントアンドリュースでの勉強にも力が入ってきました。"What is spirituality?" という問いから始まる授業。アボリジニの人々のドリームタイムを身近に感じるセントアンドリュース。彼女は日本の学校では学べない「深いレベルでの文化の多様性」をしっかりと学んでいます。

St. Andrew’s 留学レポート②　（　２月１５日―２月２８日　） Mirai Katayama

Time flies like an arrow!!  Now 4 weeks have passed since I came to Australia. I’m really enjoying my life here every day. Here in Carins, we are getting into the late summer season.

My most favorite class I take in St. Andrew’s is Religion. In this religion class, we are learning about the religious beliefs of many cultures such as Hinduism, Islam and Buddhism.

I’m learning Christianity. In Christianity class, we are thinking about “what is spirituality?”  We also think about “Parable of the lost sheep” with using “Six Thinking Hats”. It is very difficult but my school buddy and friends always support and teach me when I can’t understand what I am learning.

My school buddy is very nice and I’m very fun when I stay with her. She always teaches me English words and pronunciations that I cannot understand or I didn’t know. Also she always corrects my grammatical mistakes in my English.  So I hope I can help her with her Japanese studying.

オーストラリアに来て、４週間が経ちました。　学校も毎日楽しく、充実した日々を過ごしています。　

私が一番好きな授業は宗教の授業です。　キリスト教についてだけを勉強するクラスとほかの宗教を勉強するクラスがあります。　私はキリスト教の勉強をするクラスで、スピリチュアリティーとは何かを考えたり、　イエスの譬話である「失われた羊のたとえ」を「エドワード・デ・ボノの六つの思考帽子」を使って様々な観点から見て意見を交換したりする授業に参加しています。とても難しいですが、分からないところはスクールバディーの子や友達が丁寧に教えてくれるので心強いです。

スクールバディーの子とはとても仲良くなり、一緒にいるととても楽しいです。　会話の中で分からなかった英単語をおしえてもらったり、発音・文法を教えてもらったりととても勉強になります。私も、その子の日本語の勉強をサポートできればいいなと思っています。
