From New Zealand – No. 3

From New Zealand – Monday, July 27th.

All the students are in good health and eager to study English here at New Plymouth Girls' High School.  It is raining and the temperature is 12 C degree now, but the school is green and beautiful.  We have forgot how hot and muggy it's been in Tokyo.  We are in the middle of winter!

Today, we are having ESL class in a comfortable building.  The students look so happy and enjoy learning English. In English class, students learned English they would use to go shopping.  After class, we went to the shopping mall called Centre City where students ordered lunch in the food court.  Most students choose Mexican or Indian.  In small groups students walked around Centre City and completed a search and find task, using English in the shops.  The students did a great job and could find their way around with no problems.  It was a fun day.
