From New Zealand-Study at New Plymouth & Sacred Heart#05

It was chilly this morning.

Instead the rain stopped and it was sunny.

At last we saw Mt. Taranaki far beyond the town.

It is so beautiful with snow!

Today was the last ESOL day before we study at New

Plymouth Girls’ High and Sacred Heart.

We started the warm-up activity with a bingo game,

using the numbers. This was followed by today’s

targets, shopping and asking time.

We also learned the expressions for chores at home

today.

Thanks to the weather, we could spend the morning

break at the seaside. It was a little windy but we enjoyed

the recess walking around and taking photos.

In the afternoon, we went to the Wild Life Park today.

There lots of cattle and wild life waited for us.

Everyone was so excited touching and cuddling the

small animals.

今日は寒い朝でしたが、昨日の午後から雨はやみ

青空で始まりました。プログラムは6日目ですが、

初めてタラナキ山の美しい姿を目にしました。

今日の授業はBingoでウォームアップ。

単純に数字を言ったり聞いたりするゲームですが、

この活動が今日のターゲットの１つでもある「買い物」

や「時間」につながります。

途中に昨日の宿題を使った会話練習も入り、限られた

時間でも中身は盛りだくさんです。

ブレイクの時間には、せっかくですのでホテルの目の前

にある海岸までお散歩です。少し風が強くランドマーク

であるWind Wandも今日はかなりまがっていました。

後半は家事に関する表現です。絵を描いたりジェスチャー

を混ぜたりしながら会話を続ける活動をしました。

午後のプログラムはWild Life Parkです。

３０分ほどバスで移動しましたが、天気も良かったので

とても気持ちの良いドライブとなりました。タラナキ山も

とてもよく見え、みんな感動！

農場には様々な動物がいて、中に入って直接触れたり、

小さな動物は抱きかかえたりできます。

いよいよ明日からはNew Plymouth Girls’ High School と

Sacred Heart Girls’ Collegeに分かれて授業参加です。
