Now it’s great to update the report from Burnaby, Canada,  One of the year exchange students there in Burnaby, enrolling at Burnaby South Secondary School in Canada.  Juki Kawamura, a 10th grader of Otsuma Nakano, shares recent school life there in Burnaby.  Here we go!

Hello. Everyone. I’m Juki Kawamura, an international exchange student studying at Burnaby South Secondary in Canada.  Today in this report, I will talk about Canada’s spring.

My school had spring break two weeks from March 16 to 31. I think this long vacation is the same as Japan’s spring break. However, I didn’t have a lot of homework during this spring break.  I only had homework assignment for math class, and it was fewer than homework for schools in Japan. Thus, I spend really good time at my spring break with my friends.

Also, we enjoyed seeing cherry blossom here. I had thought that I would not see cherry blossoms in Canada, so I was very happy to see them and actually I was really surprised.  The cherry blossoms here in Canada were as beautiful as those in Japan.

The next topic is about Canada’s Easter.  Generally, Canadians celebrate Easter.  In this year , April 21 is the day of Easter, and I had 4 days long weekend. It’s sounds like Japan’s golden week. I had really good time on this long weekend.  I hope you guys are going to spend good time on this year’s Golden week there in Japan.

To wrap up my quick report, I realize that time goes so fast, and I only have two months to be left for me to stay in Canada. I want to study and enjoy as much as I can. Thank you for reading my report.

こんにちは、カナダ、バーナビィのBurnaby South Secondary School に1年留学している川村じゅきです。私の留学レポートをアップデートします。どうぞ。

今回はカナダの春についてお話ししたいと思います。私の学校は3/16から31までの2週間春休みがありました。日本の春休みと同じ長さだと思います。しかし、私は春休みにたくさんの宿題がありませんでした。私は数学の授業でのみ宿題が出されましたが、これも日本より少なかったです。ですから、私は私の友達と良い春休みを過ごすことができました。さらに四日間の連休も楽しみました。

カナダで桜を見ることができました。私はカナダで桜が見られると思っていなかったのですごく嬉しく、すごく驚きました。カナダの桜は日本と同じように綺麗でした。

次はカナダのイースターについてです。今年のイースターは4/21でした。これは日本のゴールデンウィークに少し似ていると思います。私は良い休日を過ごすことができました。皆さんが良いゴールデンウィークを過ごすことを祈ってます。

時間が経つのはすごく早いもので、カナダでの生活も残り2ヶ月になりました。私はできる限りたくさん勉強してカナダでの生活をたくさん楽しみたいです。私のレポートを読んでくださってありがとうございました。
