Another final report reached us, which was from Australia.  It would be great to share the farewell report by Honoka, an exchange student at St. Andrew’s Catholic College.

Hello everyone!  I’m Honoka Sugita, one of the exchange students here being immersed in the community of St Andrew’s Catholic College, Cairns, Australia. This is my last report for the exchange at St. Andrew’s. I have only one more week in Australia? In this report, I would like to tell you about Palm Cove, junior Japanese classes and very Aussi stake.

First, I went to Palm Cove with my host family and another exchange student, Hinako. The sea was very beautiful, and the weather was lovely.  I am very happy to share the photo of Palm Cove.  The blue gradation is beautiful! Palm Cove is a calm beach. We swam in the sea and had fun! After that, we ate an ice cream. It was very delicious? I enjoyed the beach so much. This is the best beach day ever.

Next, I’m going to tell you about Japanese classes in Junior Year. Year 10 had a block exam, but Hinako and I didn’t need to do those exams. That’s why we helped junior Japanese classes. In these classes, we practiced writing hiragana. Hinako and I showed them how to write hiragana, and then they wrote their own workbooks. They did this very well.

Lastly, I ate kangaroo stake last Friday. I haven’t eaten kangaroo ever before, so I was excited. It was really delicious.  I want you to eat it when you have chance. I love it very much!

Last but not least, I would like to thank you for everyone who supported me in Australia and Japan. Especially my host family and friends. I can never say thank you enough.  Thanks to all of you, I experienced many things and I enjoyed them very much. Also, I learnt a lot of things.

みなさんこんにちは！オーストラリアのケアンズにあるセントアンドリュース・カソリック・カレッジに留学中の杉田帆乃香です。時が経つのは早く、これが最後のレポートになります。オーストラリアで過ごすのもあと1週間を切りました?今回のレポートでは、パームコーブというビーチとジュニアイヤーの日本語の授業、そしてとてもオーストラリアらしいステーキについてお話しします。

最初に、パームコーブについてです。私とホストファミリー、そしてもう1人の留学生の村田さんと一緒にパームコーブというビーチに行ってきました。ビーチはとても美しく、天気もとても良かったです。海の青のグラデーションがとても綺麗です！パームコーブはとてもおだやかな海です。私たちは泳いだりしてとても楽しみました！その後にアイスクリームを食べました。とても美味しかったです?その日は今までで一番楽しい海の日になりました！

次に、ジュニア・イヤーの日本語の授業についてです。私の学年のイヤー10がテスト期間の間、私たちはテストを受けなくても良かったので日本語の授業のお手伝いをしました。私たちはひらがなを書く練習をしました。私と村田さんは生徒たちの前でひらがなの書き方を見せるなどのお手伝いをしました。生徒たちはみんなとても上手に書けていました！

最後に、オーストラリアらしいステーキについてです。この前の金曜日の夜に、私はカンガルーのステーキを食べました。今まで食べたことがなかったのでとてもわくわくしていました。食べてみると、とても美味しかったです。みなさんも食べる機会があればぜひ食べてみてほしいです。

今回の留学で、私はたくさんのことを経験できましたし、それらをとても楽しむことができました。また、たくさんのことを学びました。これも、オーストラリアや日本で支えてくださった皆さんのおかげです。特にホストファミリーと友達、そして日本の家族には感謝の気持ちを伝えきれません。今までレポートを読んでくださってありがとうございました。
