Hello, I’m Yuka Takemura. I’m exchange student to study abroad for a year to British Columbia, Canada. It’s been a month since I came to here. I’m glad to be sharing my experience by this report with you all.

I arrived in Canada on August 25. When I met my host family they welcomed gently, so I was very happy. From there, there was an orientation at school for 4 days. We did English test, field trip, welcome talk and school introduction. And the school started at September 3, so until school starting, I went out to many places with my host family.

And this is my school.  My school starts at 8:40 in the morning and ends 3:03 in the afternoon. Also, this is our school schedule.

We have a 3 different time schedule like this. In my school, we can choose the class whatever we like. Also, if we don’t like the class we are taking, we can change it! It’s very different from Japan, so I was surprised.

And my host family has two girls. 8 years old and 10 years old. There’re so cute. When we met them, they gave me a letter and poster.

And we’re going out every weekend. Last week we went to the farm and we did a apple picking and pumpkin picking. It was so fun!!

I love my host family. I would like to try my best. Thank you for reading!!

こんにちは！カナダの Burnaby Mountain Secondary School に 1 年留学している竹村優花です。カナダにきて 1 ヶ月が経ちました。このレポートで私の経験をシェアできてうれしいです！

私はカナダに８月２５日に到着しました。ホストファミリーに会ったときにやさしく出迎えてくれたのでとても嬉しかったです。そしてそこから 4 日間学校でオリエンテーションがあり、English テストやフィールドトリップ、ウェルカムパーティー、学校紹介などをしました。学校は９月３日からだったのでそれまでいろいろな場所にホストファミリーと出かけました。

そしてこれが私の学校です。私の学校は朝の８時４０分に始まり３時３分に終わります。またこれが学校のスケジュールです。私の学校では３つの違ったスケジュールがあります。そして私たちは自分の好きなクラスを選ぶことができます！そしてもし気に入らなくてもまた変えることができます！それを聞いて驚きました。

私のホストファミリーには２人の女の子がいます。１０歳と８歳です。とてもかわいくてあったときに手紙とポスターを渡してくれました。そして私のホストファミリーは毎週末どこかに連れて行ってくれます。先週は農場に行ってアップルピッキングとパンプキンピッキングをしました。とても楽しかったです！
