A report on our exchange program in the UK by Mayu reached us to be shared.  Here we go!

Hello! I’m Mayu Miyake.  I’m now in Canterbury, England as an international exchange student for Simon Langton Girls’ Grammar School.

This city is very famous for Canterbury Cathedral, one of the world heritage sites. I haven’t visited there yet, but I want to visit when I’m free.

Today’s topic is Fonteyn Day. This day is the 31st of January. Students have to wear plain clothes. Also, there was a cupcake sale at the canteen. When I arrived there, quite a few cupcakes had been sold. I bought one of them, and it was nice!

My life in England has just begun, and I’ll give it a try to make this life wonderful.

こんにちは、三宅麻由です。私はイギリス(イングランド)のカンタベリーの学校で、ターム留学をしています。この街は世界遺産になっているカンタベリー大聖堂が有名です。私はまだそこに行ったことがないのですが、ぜひ今度、行ってみたいです。

今日はフォンテイン・デイについて話します。この日は1月31日で、私服登校日です。また、学校の食堂でカップケーキのセールをやっていました。私が到着した時には、かなりの数のカップケーキが売れていました。1つ買って食べてみて、とても美味しかったです。

私のここでの暮らしはまだ始まったばかりなので、良い生活に出来るように頑張ります。
