Hi, everyone.  I’m Aoi Gomihara, an exchange student studying for 1 year at Sacred Heart Girls’ College in New Plymouth, New Zealand.  These days, it’s been so hot here.  Now on this report, I will write about last week.

From the last week, our school started. I had a very good start. I was happy to be able to see my friends for the first time in two months.  We talked to each other about our own holidays. Also, we got new international students. It will be busy.

On Friday night, I went to Pukekura Park, which is the biggest park in New Plymouth to see the light festival. It was beautiful and mysterious. There were so many people, because it was last day of the light festival.

On Saturday, I went to the beach and swam. The sand was hot, but the water was very cold.  I swam with my host sister and host father, and I had a lot of fun.  I believe that New Zealand’s beach is amazing. They have beautiful beaches and clear water.

I have just two more months. I’ll do my best to give it a try to everything. I will study harder than now and make more friends. I think I have changed a lot since I came New Zealand,　but I want to grow more and more. Also I want to enjoy the rest of the time!!  Thank you for reading my report.

皆さん、こんにちは。ニュージーランドのセイクリッド・ハート・ガールズ・カレッジに1年留学中の五味原葵です。  ニュージーランドは最近とても暑い日が続いています。 今回は先週の出来事についてシェアしたいと思います。

先週から私たちの学校ではターム１が始まりました。私はとても良いスタートを切れたと思います。２か月ぶりに友達と再会してとても嬉しかったですし、お互いのホリデーについて話すことができました。また、新しいインターナショナル生も加わりさらに賑やかになりそうです。

金曜日の夜、プケクラパークというニュープリマスで一番大きな公園にライトアップのイベントを見に行きました。そのライトアップは美しく神秘的でした。その日はイベントの最終日だったため、たくさんの人が来ていて公園はとても混んでいました。

また、土曜日にはビーチに行き、海で泳ぎました。砂は暑かったけれど、水はとても冷たかったです。私はホストシスターとホストファザーと泳ぎました。とても楽しく、良い思い出になったと思います。私はニュージーランドのビーチは、とても素晴らしいと思います。ビーチはとてもきれいで水は透き通っていて完璧です。

私のニュージーランドでの生活は残り２か月ほどとなりました。最後まで全力ですべてのことに取り組んでいこうと思います。また、もっともっと勉強をし、友達を作っていきます。ニュージーランドに来てから私はたくさんの面でよい方向に自分を変えることができたと思います。けれど、これから先ももっともっと自分を成長させて大きくしていきたいと思います。
