From Germany, Report from Kaho O. at F+U Academy at Heidelberg  0224.2020.

Hi, everyone! I’m Kaho Okuda, an exchange student studying at F+U Academy in Heidelberg, Germany. About a month has passed since I came to Heidelberg.  After spending a month here in Germany, I found many things different from Japan.

The first is that Germany is very eco-friendly country.  As for almost of all shops, they don’t use plastic bags when shopping in supermarkets. A lot of people go to shopping with their own eco bags. Also, I am impressed with the fact that there are a lot of designs of eco- bags in Germany.   So, it’s very fun to shop with such an eco-bag.

The second is that there are machines that collect PET bottles after drinking.  These machines are found in supermarkets. When you put a plastic bottle into the machine, you receive a receipt for the price of the PET bottle container.  And then, if you go to the cash register with it, you can exchange it for money or you can discount from what you buy at the supermarket.

When I used it, I felt that Germany is now enthusiastic to try to improve the environment and reduce garbage. Now that I have one more month left to stay here, so I want to find much more of different things from Japan.

皆さん、こんにちは！ドイツのハイデルベルクに留学中の奥田夏帆です。ハイデルベルクに来てから約１ヶ月が経ちました。１ヶ月過ごして、日本とは違うものをたくさん見つけました。それを紹介したいと思います。

1つ目は、ドイツはとても環境に優しい国です。ほとんどのお店では、スーパーマーケットで買い物する時にビニール袋は使いません。多くの人がエコバッグで買い物をします。また、ドイツにはエコバッグのデザインがたくさんあります。ですから、エコバッグで買い物をすることがとても楽しいです。

2つ目は飲んだあとにペットボトルを回収しリサイクルしてくれる機械があります。この機械はスーパーマーケットにあります。機械にペットボトルを入れると、ペットボトルの容器分の金額が書かれたレシートが出てきます。それを持ってレジに行くと、お金と交換できるかスーパーマーケットで買ったものから割引することができます。これを使ってみたとき、ドイツは、本当に徹底して環境を改善しゴミを減らそうとしていると感じました。

あと、もう１ヶ月残っているので日本と違う場所をたくさん見つけていきたいです。最後まで読んでいただき、ありがとうございました。
