留学が盛んなグローバル教育校、大妻中野。コロナ禍の2020~2022でも1年留学、学期留学は途絶えることなく継続してきました。本校の留学先の国の多くは、8~9月に新年度を迎えます。今年も多くの本校1年留学生が今、それぞれの国で新年度を迎えています。その留学生からのレポートを随時、紹介をしていきます。

From San Diego, USA

Hello everyone! I’m M.K. It has been two weeks since I came to San Diego in America. My life in San Diego is full of new discoveries and I am enjoying every day. This is my first visit abroad, and I cried a lot in the first few days after arriving because I missed my family and friends so much. But my host family kindly listened to me, so my worries and loneliness were gradually dissipated. When I have free time, I go to walk my host family’s dog or help my host mother with cooking, washing dishes, and so on. San Diego is located on the west coast of the United States so there is a strong influence of Mexican culture. Therefore, Mexican food is often served for dinner. The tacos I made with my host mother were very delicious. Since school started right after I arrived here, I have not been able to go sightseeing yet, but I hope to visit the beautiful beaches of San Diego someday…..

みなさん、こんにちは！M.Kです。アメリカのサンディエゴに来てから2週間ほど経ちました。サンディエゴでの生活は新しい発見が多く、毎日楽しい日々を過ごしています。今回の留学が私にとって初めての海外で、到着してから数日は大好きな家族や友人に会えない寂しさからよく泣いていました。しかし、ホストファミリーが私の話を親身になって聞いてくれたことで、少しずつ不安と寂しさが解消されていきました。時間に余裕があるときは、ホストファミリーが飼っている犬のお散歩に行ったり、料理や食器洗いなど、ホストマザーのお手伝いをしたりしています。サンディエゴはアメリカの西海岸に位置しているため、メキシコ文化の影響が強いです。そのため、夜ご飯にはよくメキシコ料理が出てきます。ホストマザーと一緒に作ったタコスはとてもおいしかったです。こちらに到着してすぐに学校が始まってしまったので、まだ観光はできていませんが、いつかサンディエゴの綺麗な海に行けたらいいなと思っています….　Please click the following!    2023_24_留学レポート 8月_USA_San Diego_Mariko K.

From New Zealand,

I am A.W. It has been one month and a half since I came to New Zealand. I’m getting used to living in here with my new family. The weather is still cold and chilly but is warmer than last month. I’ve gone through so many events this month as well. Here are a few things I did.

Last month, I helped catering for open night. This month, I became part of cooking for the school restaurant which was held for two nights after school. I was responsible for making rum and raisin cheesecake for dessert. We spent whole two days for training and improving the recipe and another whole two days for serving them. I was exhausted at the end of the restaurant since I kept making those from morning till night, but our team really enjoyed contributing to it…

こんにちは！私の留学生活が始まってから約一か月半が経ちました。新しい家族との生活にも慣れてきました。気温はまだ低く寒い日が続いていますが、先月と比べると少し暖かくなりました。今月もたくさんの経験をしたのでそのうちのいくつかをご紹介します!

先月は学校説明会のための料理のクラスをお手伝いましたが、今月は学校で開かれたレストランで料理をしました。レストランは二日間かけて行われました。私のグループの担当はデザートとして提供するラムレーズンのチーズケーキでした。丸々二日間のトレーニング期間ともう丸々二日間の料理期間があり、この4日間は朝から晩までずっと厨房に立っていたのでとても大変でしたが、レストランの一員になれてとても楽しい経験でした…　Please click the following！2023-24_留学レポート_8月_NZ_Aoi.W

Hello, everyone,  I am M. O.  I have been in Ottawa, Canada for a month now.   I went to a local language school for a month before high school started. The language school has a variety of age groups and students are divided into classes according to their English skills. So I was able to study English intensively at a pace that suited me. The classes are all in English, as a matter of course, so at first I was tired just listening to English continuously, but I think my listening ability improved a lot. During lunch time, I was free to bring my own lunch or eat outside, so I was able to spend time with my friends freely and happily.  Once I had a Canadian specialty called poutine, which is French fries topped with cheese and gravy (sauce made with gravy), and it was very delicious…

こんにちは。私がカナダのオタワに来て約1か月が経ちました。私は、留学先の高校が始まる前に現地の語学学校に一か月間通っていました。語学学校は年齢層も様々で、英語力でクラス分けをされるので自分に合ったペースで英語を集中的に学ぶことが出来ました。授業は全て英語なので、最初は英語を聞き続けるだけで疲れましたが、リスニング力は格段と上がったと思います。お昼の時間は弁当を持ってきて食べるか、外で食べてもよかったので、自由で楽しく友達と時間を過ごすことが出来ました。一度カナダの名物料理のプーティンというフライドポテトの上にチーズとグレイビーソース（肉汁を使って作るたれ）がかかった料理を食べたのですが、とても美味しかったです….  Please click the following. 2023_24_留学レポート_8月_Canada_Ottawa_Mako_O.
