大妻中野は世界のトップ大学の一つ、イギリス・ロンドン大学 -University College Londonのプログラム、UCL Japan Youth Challenge に参加しています。　これは、日本とイギリスで選抜された志の高い高校生が一緒に、UCLの授業を受け、ディスカッションを通し、お互いを高めあうものです。

6月14日、UCL大学院生アンバサダーの水越海翔（みずこしかいと）さんを本校に招いて、海外大進学や学びについてのガイダンスとピアノ演奏を行いました。　水越さんは、ピアニストとしても活動されており、本校訪問は、2022年に続き、2回目となります。　海外大への進学意識、国際併願（日本と海外の大学併願）への希望も珍しくありません。　日本の大学へ進学後、海外大学へ留学を考える人も多くなっています。本校の生徒、保護者が進路の多様化を直接、世界のトップ大学の大学院で学ぶ水越さんから学ぶ貴重な機会となりました。

講師・演奏：水越海翔（みずこしかいと）さん

ロンドン大学 University College London 経営科学学部・大学院修士課程学生。ロンドンを拠点とする活動家、教育者、ピアニスト、アートディレクター。2019年に愛知県立時習館高校を卒業。University College London Undergraduate Preparatory Certificateを特待生として修了後、2020年に同大学の経営科学学部・修士課程に在籍。　ロンドン大学公式の日本人アンバサダーとして、日本の生徒が海外のトップ大学に進学するのを支援している。　クラシックピアノにおける新世代のアーティストとしても活動しており、日本で光松順子氏と野畑さおり氏に師事した後、イギリスではルーカス・クルピンスキー氏に師事。　2021年にはヤングアーティストピアノコンペティションおよびベーテン国際ピアノコンペティション受賞。

Thank you for coming to Otsuma Nakano to perform your mini concert and to tell us about your life in London! It was nice to see you again.   The piano performance was incredible, especially with the added visuals. I loved the moonlight sonata. I had heard it before, but hearing it live with the projection of the moon on the screen was a very encapsulating experience.   As for the presentation, student life in London seemed really fun. I could tell that you lead very productive days juggling piano practice with lectures. I was surprised to hear that you had written a book! I’d like to give a big thank you to Mr. Kaito Mizukoshi for coming to Otsuma Nakano to give a piano recital and to talk about his university studies. The performance was very nice and was a wonderful blend of both auditory and visual art. It was my first time seeing a performance such as his, so I think it is a very innovative concept and would be wonderful on a grander scale. I also liked how the opening song was one that many are very familiar with, but I am glad to have been introduced to a few songs I had not heard before.

Overall, the performance was thoroughly enjoyable and I believe it helped the students relax prior to the study abroad talk.  I felt it was great that Mr. Mizukoshi had called out to Otsuma Nakano  students for their impressions about the benefits of studying abroad at the beginning of the talk.   – Teacher D.D.
