13℃ in the morning and it will be dry sunny day, going up to 26℃, according to today’s ABC news. It got back to chilly morning today. Time passes by very quickly. Here comes Friday. I can find something relaxed in the faces of our students. They left school with the words, “Have the happiest weekend as ever!”
In many classes of St. Andrews, teachers are picking up some topics or issues regarding Japan or Japanese culture. One of the teachers invited us to his class as a special guest teacher from Japan and gave us an opportunity to show and tell things about Japan to St. Andrews’ students.
And in a social studies class for 12 graders, calligraphy writing practice was going on with Japanese students. Decent students wrote down some kanji characters on papers with Japanese calligraphy pen, guided by some of Otsumanakano students. They were impressed with the meaning of the kanji characters they were writing.
I would like to conclude today’s article with letting you know the special event held in St. Andrews. It was “Zumba dance performance”. During lunch time, some students dancers performed “Zumba dance” in the corridor of 2nd floor of the school with heavy hip-hop rhythm.
Many students came and joined the dance together. Of course, Japanese students did. Even teachers enjoyed dancing together. All of them looked so happy in the air of the expecting happy weekends. They felt so excited that they couldn’t wait for today’s after school. Beach Boys sang in their “Dance, Dance, dance” as follows;
After six hours of school I've had enough for the day
I hit the radio dial and turn it up all the way
I gotta dance – dance, dance, dance now the beat's really hot
Today’s school lives:
Meeting with Buddy at the school reception in the morning
Social Studies through calligraphy writing
